This Matcha Chawan is beautifully hand-painted in Nara to represent their iconic deer and the autumnal season it was purchased in. 

Handmade and handpainted in Japan, the clay and its glazes have been tested to be free of any heavy metals or toxins. The stamp or signature at the bottom of the bowl is by the artisan who made the bowl. Each bowl is one of a kind. 

This bowl comes in a wooden box and the family that made this bowl has been doing this since 1948.
