Tea Omakase, at Kinoya

If you're new to but curious about the world of pure, unadulterated, high-quality Chinese, Japanese and Taiwanese teas or would simply like to make new tea friends, join us for an intimate tea-drinking session hosted by a certified tea sommelier, at one of Dubai's most popular Japanese institutions: Kinoya. 

When: February. 12th, from 10 a.m. till 11:30 a.m. 

Location: Kinoya Onyx Tower 2, Dubai. 

What to expect: Our certified tea sommelier will make and drink with you 5 different categories of tea.  We will talk about what makes each tea different from the other and special in itself, the role oxidization plays in defining the flavor profiles, the difference steaming vs.pan-firing makes, the importance of water temperature, infusion times, the ratio of tea leaves: water, and how we can make the most of and infuse the optimal cup/pot of each type of tea. 

We will also demonstrate how good quality, loose-leaf tea is a relaxing practice of mindfulness and sustainability, as the leaves can be reinfused. 

Cookies will be available to snack on but we encourage you to have breakfast before you come, as we don't encourage drinking tea on an empty stomach.
