Ryo no Kage matcha was named by tea master Gen'ensai of the Urasenke tradition to honor Kanbayashi Shunsho XIâs privilege of serving matcha to the Imperial Court during the early Meiji period. This matcha delivers a gentle, light, and refreshing profile with a creamy, frothy consistency. Its flavor opens with sweet, milky smoothness, transitioning to a mild tartness and bitterness, complemented by subtle nutty notes. For optimal flavor balance, brew at around 85°C, as lower temperatures may enhance bitterness. Net weight: 20g
